A hiker appears in the room: he has such a big hunger – like a lion. Suddenly, the organ music fills the whole room. Chicken-feathers, turtle-cancan and disturbing birdsong: all the animals slowly make themselves noticed and disturb the tranquility of this man… or is it perhaps the other way around?
“The Carnival of the Animals” is a choreographic and scenical concert for children from the age of 4 and adults. Based on the music composed by Camille Saint-Säens in 1886, the puppeteer Emilien Truche humorously and profoundly questions our relationship to our animality and to the wildness.
